• Each team participating in the BFF Rush Junior Edition, BFF Rush Senior Edition, and Open Rush category must consist of 3 members. Each team taking part in Lovers’ Chase must consist of 2 members. All categories must consist of at least one member of the opposite gender.

• Only participants aged 16 and above (as of 2013) are eligible to participate in the race.
 

• Participants aged 35 and above will need to submit a copy of their FFI to certify that they are fit enough to participate. The date of FFI obtained must be within one month from the date of submission.
 

• NSFs and students must produce their 11B or student passes respectively to qualify for the BFF categories.
 

• All participants must submit a signed hard copy of their individual indemnity forms before the race. Indemnity forms can be accessed at the link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0qxzqg05eciznzx/6u2uXr-jyI

• In the event any of the members in the teams participating in the BFF Rush and Open Rush categories are not able to compete on the actual race day due to whatever reason, the team will still be allowed to take part in the race. However, they will be unranked. For the Lovers’ Chase category, if any member of the team is unable to compete on the race day, the team will not be allowed to race due to safety reasons.

Water Proficiency
For participants in the Lovers’ Chase, BFF Rush Snr Ed, BFF Rush Jr. Ed, and Open Rush race categories, at least 1 member of the team must be able to participate in the water activity. In order to be able to participate in the water activity, participants must:

• Email a scanned soft copy of their swimming certificates to adrace@sa.smu.edu.sg within 3 days from the date of sign-up, OR

• Submit a photocopy of their swimming certificates to our booth on 14th, 15th, 21st or 22nd March 2013, OR

• Produce documentation for passing SMU’s Water Proficiency Test (WPT) previously, OR

• Attend and obtain a PASS in SMU’s Water Proficiency Test (WPT).

In the event that none of the above requirements is fulfilled, the team can choose to:

• Attempt a ‘PASS’ in WPT a second time (maximum of two attempts per participant), OR

​
• Substitute a member of the team with someone who is able to fulfil any of the above requirements. If you wish to carry out any substitution of member, please email adrace@sa.smu.edu.sg before 13 April 2013, our closing date for all registration and payment.
